Peterson Phoenix Platinum GSP Pick Set

All government steel picks with plastic handles in this set.

In the Platinum Set we substituted our famous “Stainless Slenders” in place of the DCAP-3 and Lifter pick.The Slenders are useful in working with PARACENTRIC type keyways. I have never seen a truly paracentric keyway, but manufacturers do make the warding close to being interlaced as a way to keep standard width picks out. If they made a truly paracentric keyway, the key would be very fragile.However our Slenders are only about 0.4mm thick, so they easily pass through these keyways. And because they are made from Government Steel, they do so from a position of strength, as well as fineness.

A French locksmith had asked us to make a low profile hook pick in the slender design. We made one because of his request and added it as well!
